I am Daniel Kamau, a practising teacher with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), an ICT Champion, seasoned KNEC examiner and item writer, AI & EdTech specialist, trainer and facilitator from Nyandarua County, Kenya.
With 6+ years of teaching experience, my work sits at the intersection of classroom practice, teacher professional development and digital innovation. I have reached 30+ schools directly and supported many more educators and learners indirectly through free online trainings and communities.
I am committed to bridging the digital divide in rural schools, helping teachers access practical technology, and supporting schools to use remote-learning methodologies when distance, resources or circumstances make conventional learning difficult.

05 / IMPACT IN ACTION
From teacher professional development to learner mentorship, my work is designed to create practical opportunities.
Through 30+ trainings and workshops, plus free online learning, I help educators build confidence with AI, Microsoft 365, Canva, digital pedagogy, assessment and EdTech.
I work to expand meaningful access to technology for rural schools, teachers and learners while recognising the realities of connectivity, devices and local context.
I support teachers with remote-learning methodologies and practical digital approaches that help learning continue when physical access to school is disrupted.
I mentor learners through coding and a Code Club while using chess and basketball to strengthen strategic thinking, collaboration, discipline and confidence.
06 / COMMUNITY
I lead the AI & EdTech Educators Hub, a community where teachers learn, share resources, discover practical AI tools and support one another.
The community extends the reach of my work beyond the schools I visit physically, allowing free online learning and professional support to reach educators across Kenya and beyond.
Join the Community07 / LEARNER DEVELOPMENT

My work does not stop at teacher training. I am equally passionate about developing learners' talents and digital competencies.
At school, I train and mentor learners in coding, chess and basketball, helping them develop discipline, teamwork, creativity, strategic thinking, communication and problem-solving skills.
I have established a Code Club, where learners explore programming and showcase the digital projects and skills they create.
08 / RURAL INNOVATION
At Michore Comprehensive School, our school is a Showcase School Pathfinder, and I continue to champion the use of digital resources to support teaching and learning.
Despite the challenges that rural schools may face, our learners are actively using digital resources and exploring technology as part of their learning journey.
I believe rural schools can become powerful centres of innovation when teachers are empowered and learners are given opportunities to explore. I work to bridge the digital divide in rural schools in Nyandarua County and support teachers and schools in practical remote-learning methodologies.
“Where resources may be limited, imagination, innovation, and determination should not be.”
09 / RECOGNITION
My commitment to using Artificial Intelligence and technology to transform education was recently recognised through the AI Champion Recognition Programme, organised through ICT Authority, Pathways Technologies and Microsoft.
I was honoured to be selected among the Top 10 Finalists, recognising the work I have been doing to promote AI skills, digital transformation and technology integration in education.
For me, this recognition is not simply a personal achievement. It is a reflection of the potential that exists when educators use technology to create opportunities for other teachers and learners.
